Miranda, who is always full of mineral and gem information tells us:

Pyrite and lapis are often found growing together. If you look very closely at the rich blue hues of lapis, you will most likely see the tiny flecks of gold. This glimmer of gold is pyrite, or fools gold. When pyrite grows on its own, it forms the most curious shapes. Look for the cubes of natural pyrite in this line.

Angie Star designer Dana Birke is currently offering this playful and unique new collection of jewelry--or "treasures," as we Angie Star girls like to say ;)

Dana can often be spotted buzzing around our downtown boutique. So, if you stop by the store, we promise fun Dana stories (here's a tip: ask for the tales of her Sarah Jessica Parker and Tom Hanks sightings for particularly eventful accounts!)

Anyway.... true to her colorful nature, Dana's fall line incorporates a creative and aesthetically pleasing range of materials and designs. Custom Handmade Recycled Women's Wedding Ring with Citrine and Sapphire from Angie Star Jewlery, Boulder

The fabulous Angie Star designer Jen Leddy recently designed and created this very special and absolutely one-of-a-kind wedding band for a local Boulder bride-to-be.

Jen's ring is sweet and pretty with incredible detail. Featuring recycled sterling silver, the band is hand-tapered for a comfort fit. The citrine is nicely highlighted by brass, and the pretty little sapphires add a to the delicate detailing.

Boulder Jewelry: Personalized Recycled Sterling Silver Pendant with Stamped Date

Designer Lindsey Cash created this special pendant to commemorate the wedding of a Boulder couple--the bride's friend wanted to give a meaningful and unique gift!

Amanda Lovato is one of the coolest chicas we know. Seriously! Not only is she a super sweet and loyal customer with fabulous taste, but she's also a take-your-breathe-away professional triathlete. Locally Made Recycled Sterling Silver Pendant with Sapphire and Leather

The ladies of Angie Star have been inspired by the "gypsy setting," which is pictured below. Not only is the embedded jewel sparkling and beautiful, but this setting lends itself well to our green metalsmithing efforts.

Here, a sapphire is featured in a thick pendant of recycled sterling silver. Designer Jen Leddy finished off the piece with a colorful strand of blue leather (ethically sourced, of course!).
